Pro Pract — Week 12 Reflection

This week, my teammate and I have been working on rehearsing our Friendship Action Event and inviting people to come. We are excited that it’s finally going to happen TOMORROW! In addition to directly inviting friends and classmates, I also made an Instagram story to reach to more audience. One of our classmates has also kindly helped us to post the event on her student group’s instagram account. Since we are designing the event to be a process of making new connections, we really hope it wouldn’t become just a gathering of people who already know each other very well, amen 🙏

Besides the event, I also tried to make some connections with other designers on Bēhance. So far I’ve got one designer who follows me back. My gestural music app post also got some attention from others.

For next week, I will make another Bēhance post and build more connections on the site. At the same time, I am also planning to start a Twitter account to share my life as a growing interaction designer. (I notice that in the same list of OKRs, I have one KR that says “make a vlog or documentary that document my work process as a designer”. Since I am starting my internship this week, I thinking about combining this with my internship experience, but this also means that I probably wouldn’t be able to finish it before this semester ends…)
